Lakeside-Milam Recognized for Superior Treatment
As part of their commitment to reporting on all aspects of health care, Newsweek partnered with a global market research firm to rank the best facilities focused on addiction treatment. America’s Best Addiction Treatment Centers 2020 highlights the nation’s top centers based on reputation, quality of care, and accreditation.

Today, the center has been recognized as one of the best addiction treatment centers in America and #1 in Washington State. Lakeside-Milam was one of only 200 treatment centers to make the national list and five recognized within the state of Washington.

Newsweek Selection Criteria
In partnership with Statista, an organization specializing in market and consumer data, Newsweek analyzed data from a variety of sources. These included survey responses from thousands of addiction treatment professionals, such as medical doctors, therapists, and counselors. Data from SAMHSA, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, was also used to select the best treatment providers in America.
Criteria included quality of care, quality of service, and quality of follow-up care, as well as accommodations and amenities.
