Lakeside-Milam Recovery Centers in South Seattle
Renton, WA IOP & Continuing Care
Lakeside-Milam Recovery Centers’ 35-year legacy of service extends to nine outpatient campuses and a full care continuum that includes medically supervised detox, residential treatment, IOPs and long-term programs. Our South Seattle outpatient clinic is conveniently situated near I-405 and I-5 and is home to a seasoned staff with over 40 years’ collective experience.
How We Define Addiction
Like the American Medical Association, LMRC considers addiction to be a primary, progressive disease rather than a symptom of mental illness or a consequence of moral failure. Our multidisciplinary treatment model addresses healing of mind, body, spirit and relationships, and our evidence-based programs are a catalyst for transformative recovery.
Scattered throughout the Pacific Northwest, LMRC’s alumni are our greatest source of referrals. No matter how you found our Renton campus, rest assured you have joined a growing family of clean, sober, hopeful men and women.
Effective, Affordable Alcohol & Drug Treatment in Renton
Lakeside-Milam’s treatment philosophy is simple: We provide effective, convenient and discreet care tailored to our clients’ individual needs and designed to minimally disrupt their busy lives. The flexibility of our outpatient curriculum allows men and women to reside with their families, sustain employment and participate in family and community activities while attending rehab.
LMRC’s IOP is unique for several reasons. First, we offer free, same-day clinical assessments so clients can begin treatment without delay. Second, our renowned Western Washington treatment centers provide a full continuum of services. Finally, we choose discreet locations in office buildings and medical centers near major highways. (For the convenience of clients and families, each clinic also has ample access to parking.)
Our South Seattle IOP facility caters to men and women who do not require inpatient detox or intensive residential care. We are also proud to serve patients transitioning from residential treatment centers into independent or sober living homes.

Lakeside-Milam’s Renton, WA IOP Features
The primary goal of LMRC South Seattle is to deliver flexible, multidisciplinary treatment in an outpatient setting. Outpatient care holds men and women accountable to their sobriety while supporting them as they live and work in the community. This work-life balance helps individuals put their newly acquired recovery skills to practice while still enjoying the support of therapists and sober colleagues.
Features of our Renton, WA outpatient treatment program include:
- Clinical assessment. Upon entry into our program, our experienced addiction specialists evaluate your substance use history, medical history and addiction severity to develop a customized treatment plan.
- Intensive outpatient program. Those who can remain abstinent without inpatient care are suited for our South Seattle IOP. The curriculum incorporates life skills workshops, group and individual therapy, and case management.
- Continuing care. At the conclusion of your LMRC IOP, you will receive a personalized continuing care plan. This strategy may incorporate routine check-ins at LMRC or an outside agency, as well as participation in peer-support groups like Alcoholics Anonymous, Al-Anon or Narcotics Anonymous.
Additional Seattle outpatient offerings include comprehensive, full-day disease information workshops, a deferred prosecution program sanctioned by the State of Washington, and family programming that brings loved ones alongside our clients in recovery.
