Online Addiction Therapy
Today, the coronavirus outbreak has placed certain individuals at risk of contracting a severe illness. Those who most need to avoid exposure to public places include older adults, those with immunosuppressive conditions, and individuals with existing respiratory issues. However, countless people are still in need of treatment. Knowing this, it is vital to offer virtual addiction treatment to our clients.
As COVID-19 changes the modern landscape, Lakeside-Milam continues to adapt our evidence-based approach to addiction treatment. As part of this innovation, we have made our outpatient services available to new and existing clients from the comfort of their own homes. For individuals in need of any of our treatment services, including those who are immunocompromised or otherwise unable to attend our programming in person, we are now offering fully virtual addiction treatment through telehealth services.
Virtual Outpatient Services
At Lakeside-Milam, we have adapted our outpatient programs into comprehensive online addiction therapy. We provide support and clinical care for those diagnosed with mental illness, substance use disorders, or a combination of the two. Today, these programs have been made available to clients via smartphones and other devices.
Over 80% of our clients get help through our outpatient programs. These programs help clients who do not require residential hospitalization or inpatient withdrawal management. Additionally, residential patients are able to use outpatient programs to transition from inpatient treatment to step-down levels of care.
Our outpatient programming includes:
- Alcohol/drug information school
- Intensive outpatient program (IOP)
- Deferred prosecution program
- Family education program
- Addiction evaluations
- Individual counseling services
- Early recovery services
How Telehealth Treatment Works
Telehealth is defined as virtual addiction treatment service provided through video calls or telephone calls. This offering allows clients to connect with qualified addiction professionals while self-quarantined, enabling them to progress in their recovery and access support from afar.
Your privacy and safety are our top priorities. To protect these, we use HIPAA-compliant telehealth that is included as part of our free app. These virtual services allow those who are currently in treatment to stay engaged while staying safely at home. If you are in need of additional support or treatment during the coronavirus outbreak, we encourage you to consider online addiction therapy.
